Scholarships for U.S. Nationals

According to the United States Internal Revenue Service, a U.S. National is a person who was born in American Samoa or the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands and have chosen to be treated as a U.S. National rather than a U.S. citizen. Many of the available scholarships are provided by organizations such as the Asian and Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund, the Asian Pacific Community Fund and the U.S. Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce. In order to be eligible, applying students will likely need to submit official transcripts, provide documentation of their birthplace, meet a minimum grade point average or demonstrate a certain level of financial need.
