This scholarship was established by Firefly Fuel, a company who is passionately committed to bringing eco-friendly, environmentally sustainable refillable oil candles and fuel to homes, restaurants and resorts. The scholarship was designed to financially support like-minded individuals in their education. Applicants must show their creativity and passion by writing a 500 to 1,500 words essay on their vision of the sustainable resort of the future, or create a 2 to 5 minutes short video presentation or story board of their vision of the sustainable resort of the future, or create & implement a sustainability awareness campaign using social media to educate the public and restaurants there is an economical, eco-friendly alternative to disposable fuel cells used for table lighting, or reuse, repurpose & upcycle disposable fuel cells that restaurants use for table-top lighting.
