This fellowship was established in 1968 to award graduating seniors a one-year grant for purposeful, independent exploration outside the United States. Students must be nominated by one of 40 partner colleges. Through this program, fellows will have the opportunity to experience a year of personal insight, perspective and confidence that will shape their lives. The award comprises one year stipend (through reimbursement), health insurance and 12-months of payments on outstanding institutional and federally guaranteed (Perkins, Stafford) loans.
