Scholarships for Asian Pacific Americans

Many specific ethnicities fall under the broader category of Asian Pacific American, and if you identify with any one of them then you may be eligible for one or more college scholarships. Most scholarships for Asian Pacific American students are offered by various organizations and foundations such as the Asian Pacific Fund, the U.S. Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation, the Asian and Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund. Others are offered by individual schools such as Boston College and Wesleyan University. Although requirements may vary, applying students will generally need to provide documentation of their Asian Pacific ancestry, meet a minimum grade point average, demonstrate a certain level of financial need, obtain letters of recommendation or write an essay. This scholarship was established in 1969, to increase the representation of ethnically diverse CPA professionals. Funds from the AICPA Foundation, with contributions from the New Jersey Society of CPAs, the Accounting Education Foundation of the Texas Society of CPAs, Virgin Islands Society of CPAs and Robert Half International, made this scholarship possible.
