Scholarships for Metallurgy Majors

Metallurgy majors study the science, technology and properties of various metals, and can go on to work in a number of industries, including manufacturing, aviation and mining. Before they can take advantage of the lucrative career opportunities offered by this field, metallurgy majors must figure out how they’re going to pay for their education. This is where scholarships for metallurgy majors come in. Many of the available scholarships are offered by professional groups, such as ASM International and the Association for Iron and Steel Technology. Others are provided by local organizations, such as the Hawaii Community Foundation and the Denver Foundation. Students who belong to a certain ethnic group or gender may be qualified for additional awards, including those from the United Negro College Fund and the Association on American Indian Affairs.
