Golf Scholarships

When people think of athletic scholarships, they usually think of football or basketball. However, an increased level of student interest in other sports has led to different types of sports scholarships becoming available. Among these are scholarships for students who are talented golfers. In order to be considered for golf scholarships, students often need to demonstrate good academic performance as well as strong golfing skills. Some scholarships are offered by national organizations, such as the National College Athletics Association, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletes and the National Junior College Athletic Association, while others are provided by individual universities or local community foundations. Additionally, some scholarships, such as those offered by the Ladies Professional Golf Association, are targeted towards students of a particular gender or minority group. If you’re a student golfer and would like to know more about golf scholarships that may be available to you, keep reading below.
